About this place
Tomakomai Port is a harbor stretching from Tomakomai, Hokkaido, to Atsuma, Yufutsu District. It is an "International Hub Port" under the Port and Harbor Act and a "Specified Port" under the Ports Regulation Act, and is designated one of the eight "Core International Ports" in Japan. The port administrator (port authority) is the Tomakomai Port Management Union, a special local public entity (partial-affairs association) set up by Hokkaido and Tomakomai.
