About this place
Nippon Steel Setouchi Works is a steelworks of Nippon Steel. It was launched on April 1, 2020, by integrating the Hirohata Works and the Kure Works, Sakai Works, Toyo Works and Osaka Works of Nisshin Steel Co., Ltd. (absorbed into its parent Nippon Steel in April 2020). The number of employees is 3,183. Also, from April 1, Reiwa 9, it will merge with Sanyo Special Steel and the Sanyo district will be born (as of May 13, 2026).
