Fukumitsuya Co., Ltd. is a Japanese sake brewer in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. It makes and sells sake and other products. Its core brand is Fuku Masamune. 1625 - Shioya Tasuke, from Fukumitsu-machi in Etchu Province (now Fukumitsu, Nanto, Toyama Prefecture), who ran a pawnshop in Kanazawa, buys a sake brewery and founds the business in Ishibikicho, Kanazawa. 1803 - The seventh head changes the name Shioya to Fukumitsuya, taking the name of his predecessor's hometown. Late Meiji period - The business expands under the tenth head, Fukumitsu Matsutaro.
