About this place
Edelwein is wine made in Osawa, Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture. The producer is Edelwein Co., Ltd., a third-sector company of Hanamaki. 1962 (Showa 37) - With investment from what was then the town of Osawa and the Osawa agricultural cooperative, Iwate Budoshu Jozo Goshi Kaisha is established. It obtains a fruit wine brewing license and begins brewing wine. 1964 (Showa 39) - Begins selling a red wine made from Campbell Early grapes under the product name Edelwein.
