About this place
Kirishima Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese sake brewer with head office and factory in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki Prefecture. The corporate slogan is "Quality into excitement." It mainly makes and sells authentic shochu and makes and sells craft beer (restaurant business). The company name and the brand name "Kirishima" come from the Kirishima mountains rising on the border of Miyazaki and Kagoshima Prefectures. The origin of the company is that in 1916 (Taisho 5), the founder, Enatsu Kichisuke, began making sweet potato shochu in Miyakonojo.
