About this place
Miyazaki City Phoenix Zoo is a zoo adjacent to the Phoenix Seagaia Resort in Miyazaki, Miyazaki Prefecture. After opening as the Phoenix Natural Zoo on March 24, 1971 (Showa 46), it became the Miyazaki City Phoenix Zoo, under the jurisdiction of Miyazaki, from September 8, 2001 (Heisei 13). Under the designated manager system, it is managed and operated by Miyazaki City Phoenix Zoo Management Co., Ltd., a third-sector company funded by Miyazaki.
