Kikunotsuyu Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a sake (awamori) brewing company headquartered in Miyakojima, Okinawa Prefecture. 'Kikunotsuyu Brown' and 'Kikunotsuyu VIP Gold' are famous. Kikunotsuyu is often stocked at business establishments, mainly izakaya, within Okinawa Prefecture. 1945 Received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, 8th Class (toji) 1975 Won the Governor's Award at the first awamori competition 1965 Changed trade name to 'Kikunotsuyu Shuzo Gomei Kaisha' 1985 Recognized for contributions to sake brewing skills and received the Order of the Rising Sun, 7th Class 1988 Won the Monde Selection Grand Gold Medal
