About this place
Sakimoto Shuzosho Gomei Kaisha is a distillery headquartered in Yonaguni, Yaeyama District, Okinawa Prefecture, that makes and sells awamori and hanazake. Its origin is the Kubura Shuzosho, founded in 1927 with investment by 19 rice farmers, the oldest distillery on Yonaguni Island, and was founded in 1971 by one of the investors. From 1975 to 1982 it was Kumoto Awamori Gomei Kaisha, and then became the present Sakimoto Shuzosho Gomei Kaisha. In 2006 the factory was moved to its present location. Hanaui-shu - hanazake
