About this place
Isojiman Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese sake-brewing company with its factory and head office in Iwashigashima, Yaizu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Founded in 1830 (Tenpo 1). As landowners and village headmen in Yaizu, it is thought to have brewed sake from surplus rice in the winter farming off-season. It brews and sells sake under the Isojiman brand. Founded in 1830 (Tenpo 1). International Wine Challenge Junmai sake category, gold medal: Isojiman Omachi Tokubetsu Junmai (export-only product).
