About this place
Nakagawa Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a sake brewer with its head office in Tachikawacho, Tottori, Tottori Prefecture. Founded in 1828 (Bunsei 11) in the late Edo period, it is the oldest surviving sake brewery in the eastern part of Tottori Prefecture. From the end of the Showa era it worked on reviving Goriki, a sake rice native to Tottori Prefecture that had almost died out, began using it for brewing, and from 1990 (Heisei 2) began selling Inaba Zuru Goriki. On the sake bottle label, the sake rice name Goriki is written larger than the brand name Inaba Zuru.
