About this place
Yamanashi Meijo Co., Ltd. (Yamanashi meijo Co.,Ltd.) is a Japanese sake-brewing company. It makes the sake Shichiken and the COJIE series of basic cosmetics that use rice koji. It has its brewery at Daigahara on the Koshu Kaido and makes and sells the sake Shichiken. The name comes from the fifth-generation brewery head receiving a transom carving of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove from Naito Suruga-no-kami, the lord of Takato Castle, when the main house was rebuilt in 1835 (Tenpo 6).
