About this place
Choja-san Shinra Shrine is a shrine on the summit of Mount Choja in Hachinohe, Aomori. Its shrine rank was formerly prefectural shrine. It is famous for the Hachinohe Sansha Taisai, an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property, and for the Hachinohe Enburi, and is a shrine that, together with Kushihiki Hachimangu, draws deep reverence in Hachinohe. Shinra Saburo Minamoto no Yoshimitsu no Mikoto Several other deities are enshrined in the same hall.
