Overview
The Great Buddha carved into the rock face of Mount Nokogiri is among the largest stone Buddhas in Japan. The temple is also known for its Hell Lookout platform.

Nihonji (Kyonan, Chiba) - a Soto-sect temple in Kyonan, Awa District, Chiba. It has a great Buddha of Yakushi Nyorai (the Nihonji Great Buddha). Indosan Nipponji - a temple in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India.
