Overview
The only temple on the circuit to call itself a bo. It was moved from Omishima as a sub-temple of the betto temple of an auxiliary shrine of Oyamazumi Jinja.
About this place
Nankobo is a Shingon Omuro-sect temple in Bekkucho, Imabari, Ehime Prefecture. Its mountain name is Bekkusan and its subtemple name is Kongoin. It is Temple No. 55 of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, and its principal image, Daitsu Chisho Nyorai, is the only one of its kind among the pilgrimage temples. Principal image mantra: On abiraunken bazaradato ban Goeika (pilgrim's hymn): Kono tokoro Mishima ni yume no samenureba Bekku tote mo onaji suijaku
