About this place
Kusado Inari Shrine is an Inari shrine in Kusadocho, Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is sometimes named as one of Japan's five Inari shrines, and with about 400,000 visitors at the New Year it is one of the most visited shrines in Hiroshima Prefecture. It enshrines nearly twenty auxiliary and subsidiary Inari shrines, and a Hachiman shrine as a precinct shrine. The main hall used to stand behind the worship hall, but in the late Showa period it was moved onto a concrete foundation built in the kakezukuri (cantilevered) style. From in front of this main hall there is a view across the whole of Fukuyama.
