About this place
Tosen Shrine is a shrine in Arimacho, Kita Ward, Kobe, Hyogo. It is sometimes read "Onsen Jinja" and also written Onsen Shrine. It is an Engishiki-listed major shrine and its former shrine rank was village-district shrine (gosha). According to the story that Onamuchi no Mikoto and Sukunabikona no Mikoto discovered Arima Onsen when they saw three crows soaking in the red water to heal wounds on their legs, these two deities are enshrined as its deities, and three birds are carved on the worship hall.
