About this place
Sekiganji is a Koyasan Shingon-sect temple in Iwaya, Sanan-cho, Tamba, Hyogo. Its mountain name is Iwayasan. The principal image is Bishamonten. It is also called Iwayadera. Together with Kogenji and Entsuji, it is known as one of the 'Three Autumn-Leaf Mountains of Tamba'. It is also known as the temple of maple leaves, the temple of the Ashikaga clan and the temple of the Nio statues. Together with Chikurinzan Joshoji (Tendai sect) and Banshozan Enichiji (Rinzai sect), it is also one of the Sanan Three Mountains.
