Overview
If you can tie the red cloth using only your left hand, your wish for love is said to come true.
About this place
Unedori-sama is a shrine at the eastern foot of Mount Atago in Tono, Iwate. Also called Unedori Shrine or Unedori Daimyojin, it is known as a deity for the fulfillment of love. It enshrines Unedori Myojin. The whole area was once a large pool where a "master of the pool" lived. It is said that prayers to the master for a bond between a man and a woman were wondrously answered, and that to those of especially deep faith the master would sometimes appear in person. Today, it is said that if you can tie a red cloth to a branch of the trees in front of the shrine using only your left hand, a bond will be formed.
