About this place
Kannonji is a Shingon Daikakuji-sect temple in Kanonji, Kagawa Prefecture. Its mountain name is Shippozan. The principal image is Sho Kannon Bosatsu. It is Temple No. 69 of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, and it shares the same precincts as Temple No. 68, Jinneiin. Note that the city is pronounced "Kanonji," while the temple is pronounced "Kannonji."
