Okinawa Prefecture Gokoku Shrine is a shrine (Gokoku Shrine) in Onoyama Park, Naha, Okinawa Prefecture. It is an independent shrine that does not belong to a comprehensive religious body such as the Association of Shinto Shrines. It enshrines not only those from Okinawa Prefecture who died in war, but also people from the mainland who died in the Battle of Okinawa in the Second World War and ordinary citizens of Okinawa who were victims. As of October 2005 (Heisei 17), the number of enshrined deities is 178,689, the largest of any Gokoku Shrine.
