About this place
The Hitoana Fujiko Sites are sites related to Fuji-ko in Hitoana, Fujinomiya, Shizuoka. They are designated a National Historic Site (as part of the historic site "Mount Fuji"). They are registered as a World Cultural Heritage site as part of "Fujisan, Object of Worship and Wellspring of Artistic Inspiration". Hitoana is said to be where Kakugyo trained from the 16th to the 17th century, received revelations from Asama Daibosatsu, and also passed away. According to the Azuma Kagami, it was regarded as the "dwelling place of Asama Daibosatsu (Asama Okami)".
