About this place

Oide Shrine is a shrine in Yokkaichiba, Tsuru, Yamanashi. The deities enshrined are Takeminakata no Kami and Yasakatome no Kami. It is the guardian deity of Yokkaichiba and Shimoyamura. It is a former village-level shrine (gosha). In the Edo period under the Akimoto clan of the Yamura Domain, it was the Akimoto clan's guardian deity. Oide Shrine is in the Gunnai region of eastern Yamanashi, northeast of Yamura in Tsuru. It stands on the northwestern foot of Mount Oide, at the boundary between Yokkaichiba and Ikura in Tsuru. To the south flows the Sugano River (Misogi River), a tributary of the Katsura River.
