Overview
A noodle dish born in Kuroishi in the late 1950s: fried noodles eaten with a Japanese-style broth poured over.
About this place
A local specialty dish of Kuroishi, Aomori. It is said to have begun in the early 1960s (late Showa 30s), when Mimasu in the Nakago district poured soup over Kuroishi Yakisoba, made with Kuroishi's own flat noodles. It has become established as a B-class local gourmet dish, and more than 70 shops now serve it, each with its own flavor and appearance.
