About this place
An art center (ACAC) in the Hakkoda foothills in Aomori. Outdoor sculptures by artists from Japan and abroad are scattered through the forest grounds, and the gallery shows exhibitions and the results of artist-in-residence programs. Designed by Tadao Ando, it consists of three buildings: an exhibition building, a creation building and an accommodation building. Admission is free.
