About this place
An old shrine in Nagashima, Aomori. It was founded in 996, when Fujiwara no Sanekata Ason built the Ebisu-no-yashiro in Sotogahama. In 1625, when the town of Aomori was founded, it was relocated to its present site. Venerated as a god who wards off illness, it has an apple-themed hand-washing basin and apple-motif amulets and fortune slips.
