Overview
A lookout on a cape of the Tanesashi Coast, where the Japanese military had installations late in the Pacific War.
About this place
An observatory on the cape in front of Samekado Lighthouse in Samecho, Hachinohe. Used by the former Japanese military as a military facility at the end of the Pacific War, it is now open to the public. It looks over the Pacific, is the start of the Tanesashi Coast walking path, and lets you stroll while viewing seasonal flowers such as rugosa roses. The soft serve ice cream at the shop at the foot is also popular.
