About this place
Fujita Memorial Garden is a Japanese garden in Kamishirogane-cho, Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture. The Western-style building, Japanese-style building, storehouse and other buildings in the garden were registered as nationally registered tangible cultural properties in 2003 (Heisei 15). It is a garden with an Edo-style scenery, made by gardeners brought from Tokyo when Fujita Kenichi, a businessman who served as president of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, built a villa in his hometown of Hirosaki in 1919 (Taisho 8).
