A science museum preserving the actual reactor room of the nuclear ship Mutsu, on a site overlooking the Tsugaru Strait.
About this place
A comprehensive science and technology museum in Mutsu, Aomori. Located where you can see the whole Tsugaru Strait, the building is modeled on the nuclear-powered experimental ship Mutsu (Japan's first and the fourth built in the world). It opened in 1996. It has hands-on areas such as the Reactor Room Exhibition Room and the Mutsu Memorial Corner. Fees: adults 300 yen, high school students 200 yen, elementary and junior high school students 100 yen.
