A gorge running from Otaki into Ichihara, with waterfalls along it and the largest hot-spring district in the Boso peninsula.
About this place
Yoro Gorge is a gorge formed by the Yoro River, which flows from Awamata, Otaki, Isumi District, Chiba Prefecture, to Asobara, Ichihara. Its center is near the border of Otaki and Ichihara. The surrounding area is designated Chiba Prefectural Yoro Keikoku Okukiyosumi Nature Park. In 2007 it was selected as one of Japan's 100 Geological Sites as the Yoro Gorge and Kurotaki Unconformity.
