About this place
An underwater observation tower at Katsuura Undersea Park in Chiba Prefecture. It stands 60 m offshore and is reached by a pier. From the window 8 m below the surface, at the bottom of the tower's spiral staircase, you can watch sea creatures; the surrounding sea is where cold and warm currents meet, and about 90 species can be seen throughout the year. The observation room above the sea offers views of the Pacific Ocean.
