Overview
A lookout park on Mount Kanozan in Kimitsu, where ridge behind ridge looks like an ink painting.
About this place
A park overlooking ridges formed by the Kazusa Hills, including Mt. Takago, rising in layer upon layer. The scenery of these mountains and valleys is known collectively as Tsukumo-dani, and the essayist Omachi Keigetsu praised it as 'a wonder of the world'. Before dawn, just after sunrise and before sunset the scene looks like an ink painting, and its look changes with the seasons, from autumn leaves to early-morning mist after rain.
