About this place
An observatory on the summit of Mt. Atago in Choshi, the highest point in northeastern Chiba Prefecture. The first floor has a souvenir corner selling Choshi specialties, the second floor an event hall, and the third floor an observation lounge and a tea corner. The roof, 90 m above sea level, is a 360-degree panoramic viewing space, known for the way both ends of the horizon appear rounded.
