Overview
A lookout at the tip of the Futtsu spit, built to mark a century since the Meiji Restoration and chosen among the hundred Kanto views of Fuji.
About this place
An observation tower standing at the very tip of Futtsu Cape, which projects into Tokyo Bay in Futtsu, Chiba Prefecture. The tower, shaped like a five-needle pine, was built to commemorate the 100th year of Meiji and was also selected among the Kanto Fuji Viewing 100 Views. You can see Kanagawa Prefecture on the opposite shore, central Tokyo, Mt. Fuji and the Boso Hills, and on clear days you can also see the sea forts Daiichi and Daini Kaiho.
