About this place
A shrine in Kisarazu associated with Yamato Takeru, familiarly known as Hachiman-sama as the guardian shrine of Kisarazu. The enshrined deities are five, including Homuda-wake-no-mikoto and Yamato Takeru. The ceiling of the worship hall is decorated with 162 paintings, depicting landscapes and flowers and birds in the Kano school technique. At the annual festival in July, a mikoshi built in 1850 is carried in procession, said to be the 'greatest mikoshi in the Kanto region'.
