About this place
A swimming beach in Tateyama. It is about a 5-minute walk from JR Tateyama Station, and Tateyama Bay, shallow and calm, has the alternative name Kagami-ga-ura. Palm trees line the shore, power lines are buried underground to preserve the scenery, and cafes, restaurants and hotels stand in a row. The sunset view was selected among Japan's 100 Best Sunsets, and in May and July you can see Diamond Fuji.
