About this place
A Kannon of salvation standing on the summit of Mt. Otsubo in Futtsu. At an elevation of 120 m within the Minami-Boso Quasi-National Park, it overlooks Tokyo Bay. The statue is 56 m high, its 20-story interior houses thirteen Buddhist statues and the Seven Lucky Gods, and it was built to pray for world peace. Climbing the 316-step spiral staircase lets you view the coastline of Tokyo Bay and Futtsu Cape.
