About this place

A castle in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture. One of the 12 castle keeps in Japan that survive from before the Edo period, with 21 buildings in the castle designated as Important Cultural Properties. The keep has a connected structure joining the small keep and corner turrets, and from it you can see 360 degrees over the Matsuyama Plain, all the way from Mt. Ishizuchi in the distance to Iyonada.
