About this place
Namekawa Gorge is a gorge in Kaisho, Toon, Ehime Prefecture. Selected as No. 62 of the Shikoku 88 Views as 'A world of art created by nature.' A gorge spanning the Namekawa River, a tributary of the Nakayama River, surrounded by the lofty mountains of the Shikoku Mountains, it reaches an elevation of 525 meters near the entrance. It lies within Saragamine Range Prefectural Natural Park, with about 1 km of promenade developed. No. 56 of Shikoku's 88 Waterside Sites.
