Overview
A hall in Ainan preserving the Shiden-Kai, the only surviving fighter of its type in Japan.
About this place
An exhibition hall in Ainan. It displays the former Imperial Japanese Navy fighter Shiden-kai. It was found on the seabed of Kura Bay in 1978 (Showa 53) and salvaged. Only 4 remain in the world, and this is the only one in Japan. There are photographs of pilots, items salvaged with the aircraft, recreated video, and a 1/24-scale diorama of the Matsuyama Base.
