About this place
Oyabu Onsen is a hot spring in Hijikawa-cho, Ozu, Ehime Prefecture (formerly Iyo Province). It is up the Oyabu River, which flows into the left bank just downstream of Kanogawa Dam in the middle reaches of the Hiji River. It is also written Oyabu Onsen with a different character. A quiet mountain hot spring that has been used by people of nearby villages and has not been turned into a tourist spot. There is only one inn, a wooden three-story irimoya-roofed building estimated to have been completed in 1922. The hot spring opened in 1876, and the inn began business in the Meiji 30s (1897–1906).
