About this place

A higan cherry at the southern foot of the Tokiwa Castle site in Fukushima. In the old days its flowering was taken as a sign for sowing paddy rice, so it is also called the seed-sowing cherry. You can see it halfway up a small hill down a narrow road off National Route 288.
