About this place
Michi-no-Eki Kawaba Denen Plaza is a roadside station on Gunma Prefectural Route 64 Hirakawa-Yokozuka Line, in Hagimuro, Kawaba Village, Tone District, Gunma Prefecture. It opened in 1998. It is a roadside station with a site about 1.5 times the size of Tokyo Dome, and 1.9 to 2 million people visit every year. In 2015 it was selected as a fiscal 2015 (Heisei 27) National Model Roadside Station. The roadside station has a storage warehouse and helipad as a disaster-prevention base in emergencies, and in 2021 it was selected as the only Disaster Prevention Roadside Station in Gunma Prefecture.
