About this place
Konaka Otaki (Kesakake Bridge) is a waterfall on the Konaka River, a tributary of the Watarase River flowing through Midori, Gunma Prefecture. It is a tiered waterfall with a drop of 96 m, made over a long time by the clear stream of the Konaka River, which rises on Mount Kesamaru in northern Midori. The natural Mizunara oak forest at one with it shows off beautifully, and in spring the falls are adorned with dogtooth violets, Yashio azaleas and rhododendrons, and in autumn with autumn leaves.
