A hot spring in Annaka. Its water carries salt, and it is known for fish weirs and hot-spring buns.
About this place
A small hot spring town spread along the Usui River north of Isobe Station in Annaka, Gunma. It has a history of bustle with travelers on the Nakasendo and spa-cure guests, and is known as the birthplace of the "hot spring symbol." The colorless, clear source water has high salt content, and there are simple local foods such as ayu dishes and Isobe senbei.
