Overview
A memorial in Hiroshima, raised in 1977 by the local survivors' association.
About this place
A memorial monument in Oshiba Park in Nishi Ward, Hiroshima. It was erected on August 6, 1977 (Showa 52) by the Oshiba district branch (15 towns) of the Hiroshima City Atomic Bomb Survivors Council and volunteers outside its membership. Almost all residents of the Oshiba area who had gone out for building demolition work in Koamicho (900 meters from the hypocenter) were killed, and the stone of the monument is said to be shaped like Ninoshima, where many atomic bomb victims were taken.
