About this place
Orizuru Tower (HIROSHIMA ORIZURU TOWER) is a complex commercial facility in Otemachi, Naka Ward, Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture. It stands adjacent, 90 meters east of the World Cultural Heritage Atomic Bomb Dome. It is owned and operated by Hiromatsu Holdings Co., Ltd., the holding company of Hiroshima Mazda.
On March 13, 1978 (Showa 53), it opened as the 'Hiroshima Tokio Marine Building' (later 'Hiroshima Tokio Marine & Nichido Building'). It was built by Tokio Marine & Fire Insurance (later Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance) at a total cost of 3 billion yen.
