About this place
Buttsu-ji is a temple in Mihara, Hiroshima Prefecture, and the head temple of the Rinzai sect Buttsu-ji school. Its mountain name is Omotosan. The principal image is Shaka Nyorai. It is Temple No. 12 of the Chugoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage and No. 21 of the Sanyo 24 Flower Temples. The scenery in the autumn leaf season is wonderful, and it draws many worshippers and tourists as one of the prefecture's leading autumn leaf spots.
