About this place

A sightseeing train, the Kushiro Shitsugen Norokko, that runs slowly through the Kushiro Wetland in Hokkaido. It links Kushiro Station and Toro Station (about 40-50 minutes). With the windows open, the scent of wetland grass and a cool breeze drift into the car, and the window view shows the green of Japan's largest wetland. The Yokubari Norokko, which runs only on August 13-16, stops for about an hour at Kushiro-shitsugen Station.

Verification notes

Note: The “Yokubari Norokko” train, which stops for about one hour at Kushiro-shitsugen Station, runs only from August 13 to 16. These four days are a small treat, as you can stop at Hosooka Observatory and the Visitors Lounge (the stop applies to the downbound train bound for Kushiro Station). Note: Kushiro Shitsugen Norokko tickets and reserved-seat tickets can be bought at major JR stations nationwide (Midori no Madoguchi ticket offices) or reserved through “Ekinet”. Ekinet also lets you reserve a “ticketless reserved-seat ticket” (a separate paper fare ticket is required).
