About this place
An active volcano in Kawayu, Teshikaga, Hokkaido, known as the source of Kawayu Onsen. You can watch white smoke rising from countless fumaroles up close. It once prospered through sulfur mining, and its name in Ainu is Atosanupuri, meaning "naked mountain." Parking: 150 spaces, paid.
