About this place
A specialty shop, the Otaru Music Box Museum Main Building, in Sumiyoshi-cho, Otaru, Hokkaido, using a historic building (built in 1912, Meiji 45). Located at a corner of Marchen Crossing, a brick building preserving the Meiji-era atmosphere displays a wide variety of music boxes gathered from around the world. Free admission; open 9:00-18:00.

Guests who wish to try making their own music box can use the parking lot at Otaru Music Box Museum Handmade Experience Yu-kobo, a sister shop of the Music Box Museum. It is about a 1-minute walk from the main building to Yu-kobo.
